Spring is in full swing here in Georgia!
Spring festivals are happening all over the state together with some farmers market and other outdoor events. It’s the best time to explore the neighborhood and enjoy the springtime.
But you know what else is great to do this season? Prepare for the upcoming hot and humid summer by insulating your home!
For now, let’s take a look at our previous projects that brought comfort and efficiency to our clients’ homes.
A Cool and Comfortable Workshop in Woodstock, GA
Let’s start with this metal building in a client’s garage which he is using as a workshop. Can you imagine working in this room during the summer heat without proper insulation?
Fortunately, Bird Family Insulation got to work to make this workshop cool and comfortable while being energy efficient.
We insulated this room with 2” thick Closed Cell spray foam to keep the cool air inside and keep the summer heat outside.
Crawlspace Encapsulation in McDonough, GA
Crawl space insulation is anything but fun. In fact, many insulation and HVAC companies avoid them at all cost!
However, having your crawl space insulated can make a huge difference in preventing air leakage, uncomfortably cold floors during winter, and excess humidity during summer. The Bird Family Insulation team knows this and handles the dirty work to ensure you achieve the comfort you want for your family.
For this project, we encapsulated the crawl space with 12 mil reinforced vapor barrier to keep moisture from the ground from entering. We then used 1” thick closed cell spray foam for the foundation walls to finish it off.
Quick, Clean, and Stress-Free Insulation Service in GA
Many homeowners try to put-off insulating their homes for as long as they can. They think the project will take too long, will be messy, and uncomfortable for their family.
To our clients’ surprise, our projects normally take only one day to complete and we leave without a trace of trash or dirt once we’re done. The photo below shows what you can expect during an insulation project in your property.
Shipping Container Spray Foam Insulation in Lake Sinclair
Who says we only insulate homes and commercial spaces?
For this project, we were asked to insulate a shipping container. The client is planning to use it to store their furniture while they build their lake home. The Bird Family Insulation team worked on it immediately to give their furniture a temporary shelter.
Since temperature is not a big concern, the client requested to insulate only the top part of the shipping container. We used 2” thick closed cell spray foam to prevent condensation from forming and dripping into its contents.
Once their home is built, their furniture can settle in their new home, looking as good as they were before being stored.
Attic Insulation Prevents Air – and Money – Leaking from Your Home
Effective attic insulation allows you not just a cool and comfortable home, it also allows you to keep your money in your pocket.
If your attic is not insulated properly, air leakage will cause your HVAC system to work extra hard to achieve your desired room temperature.
For this project, we used a closed cell spray foam to insulate the attic and prevent air leaks to give the client consistent temps and reduce their utility bill. In many cases, we also suggest cellulose insulation as a better solution.
This coming summer, make sure your home is ready for the scorching heat. Keep your cool air inside, and the hot temp outside your home.
